This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 3473 (October 31, 2013). The image is about 30° high and shows part of a dune just in front of the rover's robotic arm (Instrument Deployment Device, or IDD). The arm is visible in the lower portion of the view. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic. Two versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene.
