Vermilion

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 3156 (December 9, 2012). Vermilion is a piece of outcrop near Copper Cliff. The field of view is approximately 30 degrees wide. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic.  Three versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene, and a stereo anaglyph for 3D viewing through red-blue glasses.
