Pinecrest

        This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 3131 (November 13, 2012). Pinecrest was taken as part of an extensive survey of the Matijevic Hill area of Cape York. The field of view here is 45 degrees wide.  Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic.  Three versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene, and a stereo anaglyph for 3D viewing through red-blue glasses.
