Makada Lake

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 3124 (November 6, 2012). Makada Lake is an area of outcrop on Matijevic Hill that was imaged as part of an extensive survey of the area. The field of view spans approximately 27 degrees. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic.  Three versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene, and a stereo anaglyph for 3D viewing through red-blue glasses.
