Photometry SE

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 285 (October 21, 2004). The rover took a series of images looking southeast at an area of outcrop under different lighting conditions. Spirit casts a shadow into this view, taken at approximately 15:52 LST. See the area at a different time of day. Pancam's 753nm, 601nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic.  Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene.
