Kirkland Lake
This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 2736 (October 4, 2011). This 53 degree wide view shows large rocks on the rim of 22 kilometer (14 mile) diameter Endeavour Crater. The mosaic covers about 7.3 meters (24 feet) of terrain in the foreground.
Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in making this mosaic. Three versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene, and a stereo anaglyph to simulate the scene in 3D through red-blue glasses.
