Endeavour rim |
||||
This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 2667 (July 26, 2011). On the long trek to Endeavour Crater, Opportunity periodically took images of the rim visible on the horizon. When this mosaic was taken, Opportunity had about 650 meters to go before reaching the goal of Spirit Point on the rim of Endeavour. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic. Two versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene.
