Bingag Caves

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 2643 (July 1, 2011).  This observation was shot in the same direction as the ground mosaic shot on Sol 2642, and shows Opportunity's tracks through the martian soil. It is named for a geologic feature on Bohol in the Philippines. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in making this mosaic.  Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene.
