This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 1908 (June 6, 2009). This image and another taken on Sol 1909 were designed as a test to determine how much dust remained on the camera's front window. This mosaic uses three full frames and is approximately 40 degrees wide. The visible seam between frames (more obvious in the false color version) is caused by dust buildup on Pancam's front sapphire window.
Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in making this mosaic. Three versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene, and a stereo anaglyph to simulate the scene in 3D through red-blue glasses.
