Home Plate Outcrop

         Spirit acquired this mosaic of Home Plate on sol 1886 (April 23, 2009). The image was taken before a drive, as Spirit made its way around the Western edge of Home Plate. The field of view spans about 90°.
         This mosaic was created from Pancam's 753-nm, 535-nm, and 432-nm filters. Three versions are offered here at full resolution: an approximately true color rendering, a false color stretch to bring out subtle color differences in the scene, and a stereo anaglyph to simulate the scene in 3D.
