Pebble Patch

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 1877 (May 5, 2009). It shows the view off the front of the rover, just beyond the robotic arm, which can be seen in the right side of this image. Pancam's 601nm, 535nm, and 482nm filters were used in this mosaic.  Three versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene, and a stereo anaglyph for 3D viewing through red-blue glasses. These mosaics are vertical projections.
