Post Drive

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 1858 (Apr. 15, 2009).  The view shows the freshly made tracks over outcrop and ripples after a drive. The field of view (about 32 degrees) is slightly less than a normal four frame mosaic, due to subframing around the dusty right side of the lenses. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used to make this mosaic.  Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene.
