Tracks

        This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 1745 (Dec. 20, 2008). This image, which shows the rover's tracks in the side of a ripple, was imaged twice to monitor change over time (see a similar mosaic from Sol 1717). The field of view is approximately 15 degrees wide. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic.  Two versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene.
