This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 173 (June 28, 2004). The approximately 30 degree wide image shows the ground just in front of the rover, where instruments on the robotic arm, or IDD (Instrument Deployment Device) would study the area. Pancam's 432nm and 430nm filters were used in this mosaic. Three versions are provided at full resolution: an overhead perspective projection of a mosaic made from the left eye only, an overhead perspective projection of a mosaic made from the right eye only, and an overhead perspective projection of a stereo anaglyph for 3D viewing through red-blue glasses.
