Cabo Frio
This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 1462 (March 4, 2008). The two frames were overlapped more than usual to compensate for dust on the right side of Pancam's optics, accumulated from the dust storm of mid-2007. This is a view of Cabo Frio, from the target Gilbert in Duck Bay, Victoria Crater.
Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in making this mosaic. Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene.
