Harland 4

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 1433 (February 4, 2008).  It is one of four mosaics taken of the target Harland, named for British geologist W. Brian Harland, at different times of day to obtain views under different lighting geometries. This fourth mosaic was acquired at approximately 15:05 Local Solar Time (LST). See the same scene at 10:45, 11:32, and 09:38. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic.  Two versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene.
