Drive Target

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 1293 (September 13, 2007).  After a sucessful "toe-dip" and "scootback" to test her ability to get back out of Victoria Crater, ingress began. This imaging occurred at the end of the first ingress drive. Dust from a dust storm is evident on Pancam's optics.  Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic.  Two versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene.
