Soria 1261 |
||||
This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 1261 (August 11, 2007). It shows a view of the rover's tracks, called Soria, during a time when the atmospheric opacity was still high after a major dust storm. Additional images of the same target were acquired on Sols 1234, 1254, 1257 and 1264, as shown in an animated gif, to look for possible changes due to wind or settling dust. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic. Two versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene.
