Low Sun at McCool Hill

The Spirit rover acquired these images on Sol 1192 (May 11, 2007). Often images taken late or early in the day bring out different morphological details than those taken under normal lighting conditions. These two mosaics of McCool Hill were taken around 17:00 LST with this effect in mind. The view spans about 220 degrees. Pancam's deep blue (R1; 430 nm) and near-infrared (R7; 1009 nm) filters were used to generate these mosaics. Image seams have been removed.
