Mantalia

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 1190 (May 9, 2007).  The field of view shown here is approximately 80 degrees wide. Mantalia lies to the east of Home Plate, a particularly interesting feature in the Columbia Hills. Pancam's 601nm, 535nm, and 482nm filters were used in making this mosaic.  Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene.
