Madeline English

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 1163 (April 11, 2007).  Madeline English is the name given to the light toned feature in this image, which is roughly 1 meter (3.3 feet) across. This feature is named after a member of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. Pancam's 601nm, 535nm, and 482nm filters were used in making this mosaic.  There are three different mosaic types available for download: an approximate true color, a false color to bring out subtle differences in the scene, approximate true color and false color vertical projections, and a stereo anaglyph for 3D viewing through red-blue glasses.
