Cape of Good Hope

The Opportunity rover acquired this mosaic of several of the capes of Victoria Crater's rim on Sol 1102 (Feb. 28, 2007).  This mosaic was actually taken from the Cape of Good Hope, and does not include that cape in the image.  Visible from this position, looking roughly west, the image includes, from closest to furthest, Cabo Corrientes, Cape Desire, and Cabo Anonimo.  The field of view is about 45 degrees across and about 18 degrees high.
This mosaic was acquired in Pancam's 753-nm, 535-nm, and 432-nm filters. Two versions are offered here at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color stretch to bring out subtle color differences in the scene.
