Extremadura   << back to mosaics

Opportunity obtained this mosaic on Sol 1094 (Feb. 20, 2007) using Pancam's 753 nm, 535 nm, and 432 nm filters. The field of view covers roughly 30 by 30 degrees. The image shows exposed bedrock near the rim of Victoria Crater, which Opportunity was exploring at the time.  Two versions are offered at full resolution: an approximate true color mosaic, and a false color stretch to bring out subtle color differences in the scene
