Drive Direction

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 103 (April 17, 2004).  The large light toned rocks in the lower right corner are about 1 meter (3.3 feet) wide. The mosaic itself spans about 50 degrees. The irregular boxes and lines in this image are the result of dropouts in the data downlinked to Earth. Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in making this mosaic.  Three versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene, and a stereo anaglyph for 3D viewing with red blue glasses.
