Drive Direction

        This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 037 (February 9, 2004). At this point in the mission Spirit had driven a little over 12 meters. This drive direction imaging was taken to help plan a campaign to reach Bonneville Crater about 30 meters away by Sol 60.
        Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 482nm filters were used in this mosaic. Two versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene.
