This mosaic was acquired near the Eagle Crater landing site by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 035 (February 28, 2004). A full 360° view of the horizon is shown here, with some of the crater interior outcrop visible in the full frames near the left side of the image.
Pancam's 753nm, 535nm, and 432nm filters were used in making this mosaic. Three versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene, and a stereo anaglyph to simulate the scene in 3D when viewed through red-blue glasses.
