Outcrop Delta |
||||
This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 026 (February 19, 2004). Taken from within Eagle Crater, about 2.5 meters (roughly 8 feet) of outcrop, named Delta, is shown in this image. Outcrop Delta was part four of four of the science team's outcrop imaging for geomorphology/stratigraphy. Part one, two, and three are Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie, respectively. Pancam's 753 nm, 535 nm, and 432 nm filters were used in this mosaic. Two versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene.
