Adirondack

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 016 (January 19, 2004). Pancam's 753nm, 601nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic. The view shows a rock called Adirondack, where Spirit used the tools on the robotic arm (IDD) to investigate its composition. Two versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene.
