This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 016 (January 19, 2004). Pancam's 753nm, 601nm, and 432nm filters were used in this mosaic. The view shows a rock called Adirondack, where Spirit used the tools on the robotic arm (IDD) to investigate its composition. Two versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene.
