Left of Stone Mountain

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 015 (February 8, 2004). The image shows an area of outcrop in the interior wall of Eagle Crater, with the robotic arm deployed over a science target. Part of the rover's front deck and solar cells can be seen in the lower portion of the image. Pancam's 601nm, 535nm, and 482nm filters were used in this mosaic.  Three versions are available below at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and false color stretch to enhance the subtle color differences in the scene (in normal and vertical projections), and a stereo anaglyph to simulate the scene in 3D when viewed through red-blue glasses.
