This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on Sol 012 (January 14, 2004). The image was taken shortly after the rover egressed from the lander. It shows the workvolume and the front of the rover's very clean solar panels. There are some areas in this mosaic that weren't completely downlinked to Earth. They result in the small black patches in the mosaic. There are three different options available for download: an approximate true color, a false color to bring out subtle differences in the scene, approximate true color and false color vertical projections, and a stereo anaglyph for 3D viewing through red-blue glasses.
