Workvolume

This mosaic was acquired by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity on Sol 007 (January 30, 2004). The view shows a patch of ground approximately 2.7 meters wide to the front of the rover. Opportunity took this image shortly after successfully rolling off the lander onto Martian Soil.
Pancam's 601nm, 535nm, and 482nm filters were used in making this mosaic. Two versions are provided at full resolution: an approximate true color rendering, and a false color rendering which enhances the subtle color differences in the scene.
